What is a neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity is the concept that all humans vary in terms of our neurocognitive ability. Everyone has both talents and things they struggle with. However, for some people the variation between those strengths and challenges is more pronounced, which can bring advantage but can also be disabling. Neurodivergent people tend to find some things very easy and other things incredibly hard. This usually leads to an inconsistent performance at school or work.
Neurodiversity can be a competitive advantage when the individuals are in the right environment, making use of their strengths, instead of constantly trying to overcome challenges. Geniouswithin.org

Three of our four regular consultants have a neurodiversity diagnosis. Did you know that neurodiverse individuals often bring unique perspectives and innovative thinking to the table? Conditions like ADHD, autism, and dyslexia can lead to exceptional problem-solving, creative thinking, and attention to detail. Our Neurodiverse Colleagues Can Spark Innovation:
-
Out-of-the-Box Thinking: Neurodiverse individuals often challenge the status quo, leading to ground-breaking ideas.
-
Hyperfocus: Their ability to concentrate intensely on specific tasks can drive innovation.
-
Unique Perspectives: Neurodiverse thinkers often see the world differently, leading to fresh insights.
-
Adaptability: They can often adapt to change more easily than neurotypical individuals.
We celebrate and empower neurodiverse colleagues to thrive in the workplace. By fostering an inclusive environment, we unlock a wealth of creativity and innovation.
On these pages and within the blog we have posted lots of information about neurodiversity, different types of neurodiversities and some ideas how these affect people in everyday life. Please note that while most of us are neurodiverse and have a vast amount of lived experience we should stress that our page and blog is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice. We are not trained expert, qualified medical or psychiatric professional. This is just the well-informed consideration of people who are committed to helping others in a similar situation to ourselves.
